Local Success Story: A kaleidoscope of colour puts fun into fundraising

Those looking to add some fabulous fun to their summer plans should sign up for this year’s Colour Run in aid of Cynthia Spencer Hospice. Taking place on Sunday 8th June at Overstone Park in Northampton, this unforgettable 5km run sees participants covered in vibrant powdered paint as they make their way around the course.

There’s no time limit or competition – you can run, walk, or even dance – making this the perfect event for friends, families, colleagues, and individuals alike to come together and support a vital local cause. If the full distance seems daunting, a shortcut point will be available, allowing participants to complete half the route and still enjoy the colourful atmosphere.

Early bird registration is open now, with discounts available until 31st March. Adult entry is £15, children £10, and family entry £45 (under 5s go free). Online entries close on 5th June 2025, but participants can still sign up on the day.

Anita Frith, Director of Income Generation and Communications at Cynthia Spencer Hospice, said:

“Our Colour Run is a really fun, interactive race where you’ll leave looking totally different to when you arrived! A little different to your typical 5K, our course will be filled with ‘Paint Stations’ ready to give you and your clothes a colour makeover. The powder is natural, non-toxic, and biodegradable, so it’s safe for both participants and the environment.”
