Local Success Story

Northampton Rowing Club Smashes £40,000 Fundraising Goal 🚣‍♂️🎉

A true testament to community spirit, Northampton Rowing Club has surpassed its 12-month fundraising goal, raising over £43,000 to invest in new boats and equipment.

Based at Brackmills on a three-kilometre stretch of the River Nene, the club achieved this milestone throughout 2024 with the backing of local organisations such as the National Schools Regatta, Sport England, The Rowing Foundation, and Tingdene Group in Wellingborough.

The funds will enable the club to purchase essential rowing equipment, including brand-new single and double boats, helping to improve training and competition opportunities for its members.

Adding to their success, the club—established in 1976—recently held a special event to name six new boats, all funded through generous donations and sponsorships.

This achievement highlights the power of community support and the dedication of Northampton’s local sports clubs to fostering talent and opportunity.
